Our mud crabs are caught in the cleanest of tidal rivers surrounding Rockhampton and transported by air to you as fresh and lively as if you had caught them yourself.

Luxurious Feast flies mud crabs into Sydney twice weekly, to order, and offers both A and B grade crabs from 750gm up to 1.5-2kg size.

The mud crabs are packed in the early morning at Rockhampton and flown to Sydney for immediate delivery. If kept cool and unstressed, the crabs will last five days or more in restaurants that do not have facilities to retank and irrigate. As long as the crabs recieve a few splashes of cool water each day and are well drained, the meat quality will be as good as if you had pulled them from the dilly's yourself.

Recommended cooking process: bring equal parts salt and brown sugar to boiling water and kill crabs immediately before boiling to reduce the chance of claws and legs separating from the body.
